Ministerial Delegation Continues European Tour in the Netherlands Ahead of the Jordan–EU Investment Conference

Amman – The Jordanian ministerial delegation continued today its European tour in the Netherlands as part of preparations for the Jordan–European Union Investment Conference. The delegation includes Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Zeina Toukan, Minister of Investment Dr. Tareq Abu Ghazaleh, and Jordan’s Ambassador to the Netherlands Khaled Al-Qadi.

The delegation held a dialogue session attended on the Dutch side by Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation Reinette Klever, Ambassador of the Netherlands to Jordan Stella Coruth, as well as representatives from the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Invest International, the Netherlands Business Council for the Middle East and North Africa, in addition to representatives from Dutch economic and investment institutions and the private sector.

During the session, the ministerial delegation highlighted the key competitive advantages of Jordan’s investment environment, avenues for expanding economic partnerships, and opportunities for enhanced investment cooperation. Discussions also focused on translating Jordanian–European cooperation into viable development and investment projects in the Kingdom that contribute to economic growth and sustainable development.

Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Zeina Toukan emphasized the strategic partnership between Jordan and the European Union, rooted in long-standing relations and shared humanitarian values. She underscored the importance of strengthening development cooperation to support national development priorities and achieve sustainable growth objectives.

For his part, Minister of Investment Dr. Tareq Abu Ghazaleh highlighted Jordan’s safe and stable investment environment and the promising investment opportunities enabled by the availability of skilled human capital and rich, diverse natural resources. He also pointed to ongoing government efforts to streamline and simplify investment procedures, encourage public-private partnerships, and focus on projects with sustainable economic impact.

Ambassador Khaled Al-Qadi reviewed the strength of the longstanding diplomatic relations between Jordan and the Netherlands, which span more than 75 years, stressing the importance of building on these ties to open new horizons for economic and investment cooperation between the two friendly countries.

Dutch participants expressed their interest in exploring the promising opportunities offered by Jordan’s investment environment, particularly as the Jordan–EU Investment Conference approaches. The conference is expected to serve as a key platform for strengthening economic and investment cooperation between Jordan and the European Union.

The Jordan–European Union Investment Conference is scheduled to be held in Jordan on April 21 of this year, under the patronage of His Majesty King Abdullah II.
